Business Development Executive / Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a mid-level Business Development professional (4–7 years of experience, including at least 2 years in pharmaceutical APIs and intermediates) to drive sales and marketing growth across domestic and international markets. The role focuses on building client relationships, expanding market presence, and delivering measurable revenue growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and manage new business opportunities in APIs & intermediates and custom synthesis
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers (Domestic & Global)
  • Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to maximize profitability while ensuring long-term client partnerships.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and support overall business growth strategy.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth trends.
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations, proposals, and commercial offers.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry conferences.
  • Maintain CRM database and provide regular business reports to management.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical, commercial, regulatory and contractual discussions.
  • Work closely with R&D, Production, Regulatory, Quality teams to align business opportunities with company capabilities.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s / master’s degree in pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences or Business Management
  • 4–7 years of business development/sales experience, with minimum 2 years in APIs & intermediates.
  • Excellent knowledge of pharma market dynamics, pricing, and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Strong global network and client relationships in regulated and semi-regulated markets will be add-on value
